Unit Overview:
The unit consists of the College Dean, the Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, a faculty member serving as the unit director, and three assistant staff members.
Unit Objectives:
- Ensuring the implementation of all safety and security procedures in the college’s laboratories and facilities, preventing accidents, addressing incidents when they occur, and mitigating their impacts.
- Enhancing staff efficiency through awareness seminars to emphasize caution when handling hazardous, flammable, and combustible materials.
- Ensuring the availability of alarm and fire suppression systems, fire protection equipment, and first aid kits in accordance with university-approved standards.
- Coordinating regular inspection visits from the university’s Security and Safety Unit to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
