Crises and Disasters Unit Overview

Unit Overview:
The unit consists of the College Dean, the Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, a faculty member serving as the unit director, and three assistant staff members.

Unit Objectives:

  1. Ensuring the implementation of all safety and security procedures in the college’s laboratories and facilities, preventing accidents, addressing incidents when they occur, and mitigating their impacts.
  2. Enhancing staff efficiency through awareness seminars to emphasize caution when handling hazardous, flammable, and combustible materials.
  3. Ensuring the availability of alarm and fire suppression systems, fire protection equipment, and first aid kits in accordance with university-approved standards.
  4. Coordinating regular inspection visits from the university’s Security and Safety Unit to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
