Awareness seminar entitled "Bacteriophages and their derivatives as a promising alternative to bacterial resistance"

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan - President of Beni Suef University, and Prof. Dr. Shahira Fawzy El-Menshawy - Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ejlal Abdel Hamid - Vice Dean of the Faculty for Environmental Affairs and Community Service at the Faculty,
 an awareness seminar was held today, Wednesday, 11-12-2024, entitled: "Bacteriophages and their derivatives as a promising alternative to bacterial resistance" The seminar was lectured by Dr. Karim Abdel Qader El-Soufi - Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Faculty. The seminar dealt with the effects of the misuse of various antibiotics, the danger and causes of bacterial resistance. The seminar also dealt with alternative solutions to bacterial resistance, which are bacteriophages as a promising alternative to bacterial resistance. A successful cases were presented that were treated with bacteriophages.
