The Faculty of Pharmacy launched, on Thursday, 4 December 2025, a community awareness campaign targeting primary school students at Salah El-Din Future Stars School. The campaign focused on raising awareness about healthy nutrition among primary stage pupils.

The campaign was organized with the participation of “Students for Egypt,” headed by the student Serag Bahaa, President of the Students for Egypt Union. The activities were carried out by fifth-level students of the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Pharm D – Clinical Pharmacy) Program in collaboration with Students for Egypt at the Faculty of Pharmacy.

The campaign addressed the concepts of healthy and unhealthy nutrition .School students actively contributed by sharing their knowledge about healthy and unhealthy foods through a presentation prepared by Faculty students. The activities also included interactive segments such as the “Who is the Champion?” challenge, healthy food cards, and “Secrets of Food Colors,” presented through role-playing characters, brochures, and educational models prepared specifically for the campaign.

Additionally, the campaign featured an artistic activity that involved coloring various foods associated with healthy nutrition, as well as coloring the pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum to foster and strengthen students’ sense of national belonging. Competitions were organized and prizes were awarded to the winners.

Faculty students also distributed informational brochures prepared for the day, serving as a lasting reference guide for the pupils.

Her Excellency the Dean emphasized the importance of repeating such campaigns, as they achieve the following objectives:

* Linking academic study with practical life by training students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-life situations.
* Promoting health awareness among school students with the aim of disseminating knowledge.
* Implementing effective teaching and learning strategies by delivering medical information from university students to younger students using age-appropriate methods.
* Strengthening the role of educational institutions in community engagement by instilling the spirit of community service and reinforcing students’ active role in society.
* Developing presentation and communication skills by enabling students to simplify scientific information and present it clearly and concisely before an audience.
* Encouraging teamwork by promoting cooperation and the division of tasks and responsibilities.

The day concluded with commemorative photographs.
