Beni Suef University participates in an awareness camp to combat cyber violence and promote positive behavior.

As part of Egyptian universities' commitment to spreading community awareness, Beni Suef University participated in an expanded awareness camp titled "Confronting Cyber ??Violence and Promoting Positive Behavior among University Students." The camp was held under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Tarek Ali, President of the University; Professor Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, Vice President for Environment and Community Service; and Professor Dr. Hamada Mohamed Mahmoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.

The camp was organized by the Anti-Violence Against Women Unit at the university, in cooperation with the National Council for Women, and hosted by Beni Suef National University and the University of Technology. The camp was held at the Faculty of Commerce Theater under the supervision of Professor Dr. Eid Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty, and at the university's playing fields under the supervision of Captain Mohamed Farouk, Director General of Youth Care, in the presence of Dr. Jumana Ramadan, Deputy Director of the Anti-Violence Against Women Unit at the university, and Dr. Amani Ahmed, Unit Coordinator at the Faculty of Social Work.

The camp was inaugurated by Ms. Ghada El-Samman, Director of the Branches Department at the National Council for Women's Secretariat. She emphasized the council's pioneering role in activating anti-violence units within universities. Ms. Narmin Mahmoud, the National Council for Women's rapporteur in Beni Suef, also emphasized the importance of these units in providing a safe university environment free from all forms of violence and discrimination.

Dr. Ghada Atef, Director of the Anti-Violence Unit at Beni Suef University and National University, gave a presentation on the unit's mechanisms for receiving and handling complaints. She also held a seminar on ways to combat harassment in public places and spread awareness among students.

In the same context, Ms. Amal Gamal, representative of the Women's Complaints Office at the National Council for Women's Affairs, Beni Suef branch, reviewed the most important legislative amendments to protect women from all forms of violence. Dr. Basma Ramadan from the University of Technology also presented an extensive seminar on cyber violence, countering rumors, and ways to protect against them.

The camp concluded with a series of sports and recreational activities aimed at enhancing the spirit of cooperation and integration among students from the three participating universities. The activities were praised by all attendees and participants and were implemented by Dr. Mahmoud Fayek, Dr. Nora Ragai, Dr. Hager Mustafa, Dr. Jihad Gamal, Dr. Iman Abdel Fattah, Dr. Israa Yasser, Dr. Ibrahim Hamdy, and Dr. Hossam Gamil.

The students of the Faculty of Pharmacy participated in this camp under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Shahira El-Minshawy, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Eglal Abdel Hamid, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Environmental and Community Affairs. The participation came in cooperation with the unit coordinator within the faculty, Dr. Israa Hanafi, and Dr. Nourhan Badr.
